For a while, Mozilla Firefox 24.0 on my PC does not show youtube videos. I tried all solution methods which are upgrading adobe flash player, reset of the browser, uninstall and re-install the firefox but the problem remains. When I opened the youtube and click a video firefox shows it about 2-3 seconds and after it flash player pop ups an error says "An error occurred, please try again later.". I tried almost everything to fix this issue however, I could not succeed.

Hİ guys,

After a long time with this issue, yesterday, I recognized that firefox displays youtube videos when the PC has a plugged speaker on it. When I unplugged it, the problem came up again, after showing about 1 or 2 seconds, it stopped and pooped up an error. I have an onboard sound card (realtek). I mislead windows as if it has a plugged speaker by adjusting sound card driver as showing in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCQOTBXFznw Now, I can watch youtube videos on my PC without a plugged speaker :D

Hello,

Are you experiencing problems with other websites as well as Youtube. If not then I suggest viewing the html5 version of youtube instead of flash.

Navigate to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and click the 'Join the HTML5 Trial' button. You will then no longer need flash to view youtube.

If you want to continue debugging flash please see the information below.

Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash update and/or a malfunctioning browser plugin such as Real Player.

In order to remedy the problem, please perform the steps mentioned in these Knowledge Base articles:

Other, more technical information about these issues can be found under these Links:

I hope this helps. Let me know if not.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

This might be a bit silly, but here my 2 cents (I had the same problem and this solved it): http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/enabling-flash-player-firefox.html

And it was pretty simple:

Go to Add-ons and check if the flash player is active. Turns out that it's inactive by default!

I hope this helps.
