When I click on an email link, I get sent to that web page but neither the audio or video works. I uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox but the problem still exist
When I click on a video or audio link in an email, it takes me to the website but does not play when I click on the play button. I uninstalled Firefox completely and re-installed it but the problem still exists. I do not have this problem with "Internet Explorer:" or "Chrome". I have also pasted the URL into the address bar manually and while it takes me to the web page, I am unable to get any sound or video on Firefox. I have been working to resolve this problem for 3 days now and nothing works. If I get get it fixed I will have to use another default browser.

Can you give us a URL to a page that should play a video but that doesn't work for you? It might help us narrow down what kind of video is giving you problems.
In the meantime here are some articles that might help:
There have been some compatibility issues with the Flash player plugin version 11.3. Maybe this article is a good place to start troubleshooting that: Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox. There also is a small update to Flash out today that resolves some issues: Flash Player Help | Release Notes | Flash Player 11.3 AIR 3.3.
I can't even watch anything on YouTube. I get an error message. Here is a link that works in my other Browsers but not in Firefox:
Here is just an audio link that also doesn't work:

But they all work in my other browsers!
That is a Flash Player that plays an MP3 file.

Is Flash installed and working?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
