I use the same sequence of saving webpages in Firefox - 'save page' - 'webpage complete' into a file. But the saved webpage appears as an Explorer webpage instead. Once this has occurred, the webpages fail to open or don't open in the original format. Wondering why it automatically defaults to this from the Firefox web browser, and what I need to do to correct the problem.

Sounds like Firefox isn't set as the default browser for you. See this support article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/make-firefox-your-default-browser#firefox:win10:fx48
