My installation of Thunderbird is below (ubuntu 14.04, 64-bit, thunderbird 31.7.0, IMAP/SMTP email settings). My problem is this: For some strange reason thunderbird refuses to download ALL of the messages in the inbox, there seems to be an arbitrary limit of 31 days of worth of messages. I tried to put thunderbird in "offline mode" to force it to download ALL of the messages, but that did not work. I literally am running a fresh install, so there are no extensions or anything else running. Appreciate any help as this is quite an annoying problem.

thanx, D

Frankly sounds like a server issue. But, is version 38 better?

Thanks for the reply,

I have yet to really test the new version due to this annoying email download issue. Its really odd because I have been using the same email for over a year and previously never encountered the problem after re-installing my OS (Ubuntu) ... its definitely not a "monthly limit" on message downloads.. now its at 33 messages... It simply won't download messages prior to June 5th.... which is odd because when I first encountered the problem It wouldn't download messages prior to May 19th... any useful tricks or suggestions on how I can get all the messages? I really don't think its a server issue
