Is it possible to retrieve a folder that has been deleted from the "Trash" folder?
Yes, I deleted a folder that I wanted to keep. It was in the "Trash" folder under Local Folders and yes, it says permanently delete before acting. I thought it was a duplicated folder.
Can someone tell me where the backup folder is for Thunderbird? Maybe I can find it there.
I do have iDrive backup, so maybe I can find it there. How would be the next question.
Thanks.

Thunderbird is only an email client for displaying emails, it does not backup emails stored on your computer.
If your iDrive Backup has backed up your Profile folders and if using Windows OS, then your Thunderbird Profile folder is located here: C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name\ Mail\pop mail account
The AppData folder is folder is a hidden folder; to show hidden folders, open a Windows Explorer window and choose "Organize → Folder and Search Options → Folder Options → View (tab) → Show hidden files and folders".
You should locate two files of same name. One will be just a file with no extension, this is the mbox file contining emails, the other will have a .msf extension and this is the indexing file - it does not contain emails.
