problem 1 Very slow to open over the last 3 months. Firefox used to open in a flash but not now. Problem 2 Firefox crashes especially with any site where watching videos. I use Windows Media player version 11 and I did look through the problem page and it said to disable the VLC Media Player Plugin, which is not there under my Plugins at least not under that name. The only Media player file listed is Windows media Player Plugin Dynamic Link Library, should I disable that?? It is very frustrating to have to continually restart the computer because I firefox won't end so I have to press End Now because it is unresponsive. I have no desire to go back to IE. Could someone please help. Note My computer is Windows XP and it has half its space free. I use Firefox 3.5.16 Carrie

I have real problems too, in recent weeks I've had to go back to using version 6 as video wouldn't play in 7 then I started to have problems with my iGoogle home page display, only the theme bars would load. Now Ive reverted to Firefox 3.6.24 and iGoogle displays properly again. I've re-tried several versions of later versions of Firefox, including 8.0.1 but they don't display iGoogle home page.

XP sp3 loads of space, later versions did work, this problem seems to be creeping up on us.
