the link i need for class isn't showing, when i click on the pad lock symbol, it says page not secure

I'm taking online college classes and the professors has put a link on a the page, it does not show up for me, when i clicked on the pad lock image it said the page was not secure. the pad lock is black with an orange triangle over it that has an exclamation point on it
