Is There Any Way to Refresh Firefox Without Losing Vital Accessibility Fixes?
I was trying to solve an issue with drop-down menus.
Certain drop-down menus on certain sites such as steampowered don't work in Firefox, even in safe mode; they do work in Safari. Another user was able to fix things by refreshing Firefox.
I have sensory processing issues and need to use video-blockers to use the web. Unfortunately, refreshing Firefox would delete all my video-blockers and other accessibility fixes.
What are my options here?

Do you mean website specific context menus?
What is the value of this pref on the about:config page?
- dom.event.contextmenu.enabled
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
Do you have a list of exactly what sites have a problem? If you can post the addresses of the pages and mention which menus are not working, perhaps someone can spot a pattern. Otherwise, it is hard to give specific advice.
There definitely is something strange about the menus here: http://store.steampowered.com/
When I mouse over, for example, Software, a drop-down panel with 8 choices appears, but when I move my mouse down to click one, the panel disappears. I think there's a mistake in the layout of the menu area, or in the script that shows and hides the little lists.
I created a Greasemonkey user script as a workaround for that site. You need the Greasemonkey extension as well as the script:
That was default boolean true
I tried safe mode, it didn't work there either. I don't have hardware acceleration enabled. I don't hve greasemonkey, but that's for the fix.
As to your original question;
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox
FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
