download unexpectedly completed and deleted the .part file

I was downloading a 2GB file and it unexpectedly completed at 1.9GB.. Also the .part file is now missing/deleted(?) so, I cant do the trick of downloading again and switching the file and .part file.. Where is the old .part file so I can achieve this? Im windows 7 using the latest version of firefox

look for the location you will find file only of you dont clear cache


C:\Documents and Settings\(user name here)\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\(for me: l635vrpu.default)\Cache

You can also check the location of the Windows temp files (%temp%) to see if you can find the .part file there.
