putting the firefox icon on my desktop
when I download the Firefox browser it failed to put an icon on my desktop, it failed to put it on my quick launch bar and it doesn't show it has been installed on my computer

Do you have a Firefox program folder?
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\ (64 bit OS)
If not then you need to download a fresh version and reinstall the program.
- Firefox 16.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
You may need to do that as Administrator (right-click the Firefox installer: Run as Administrator).
I solved the problem, I was using sandboxie when I first downloaded Firefox, this was the reason I didn't see an Firefox icon on my desktop. Thanks for your help
