It has been working fine - now I get this message:

'We've detected a problem with your cookie settings. Enable cookies

Make sure your cookies are enabled. To enable cookies, follow these browser-specific instructions. Clear cache and cookies

If you have cookies enabled but are still having trouble, clear your browser's cache and cookies. Adjust your privacy settings

If clearing your cache and cookies doesn't resolve the problem, try adjusting your browser's privacy settings. If your settings are on high, manually add www.google.com to your list of allowed sites. Learn more'

I've tried making Google an exception, to no avail.

Hi

If you visit google.com and use the "Clear cookies and site data..." button on the dropdown panel of the lock icon (in the address bar) to clear cookies, it should fix the issue.

Hi

It would really help the developers looking into this issue if you could confirm the full version number of the copy of Firefox that you have installed.

We have resolved an issue with Google prompting users to ‘clear cookies and site data’ when logging in. A fix has been published, via Firefox remote settings that does not require a Firefox upgrade. Users will receive the update over the next 6hrs, if you would like to update immediately simply restart Firefox.

Note: The issue was related to CHIPS being enabled in Fx131, this feature has been temporarily disabled while we resolve the issues. Users who have disabled 'Allow Firefox to install and run studies' in Privacy & Security settings will need to enable to receive the update.

I am not using Firefox because of this problem for months now, it made me switch to Chrome until I don't resolve it. I need help from a person, I have tried everything I knew, and I don't want to loose my bookmarks etc... I was waiting for an upgrade that would fix it but nothing.

Hi JoyofLife4u, could you check this setting:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. The moderators would like us to remind you that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the preference has a value of true, double-click it (or click the Toggle button at the right end of the row) to restore the default value of false

After this, when you visit Google search or Gmail, you may need to clear your existing Google cookies. Here's how:

While viewing a page on the site, click the lock icon at the left end of the address bar. After a moment, a "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button should appear at the bottom. Go ahead and click that. Firefox will ask you to confirm; go ahead and confirm.

Then try reloading the page and signing in again? Success?
