Folders
When I open any folder including inbox it appears empty. If I right click in the folder and select properties and do a repair all emails appear. However if I move to a different folder I have the same problem, when I move back to inbox it is once again empty and I have to go through the process again..

This occurrence is called 'ghost folders' this bug seems to surface in some times.
mostly when using Imap.
Keep calm and don't run any unexpected processes that could damage your PC.
As far as I have read your post, it is recommended to immediately redo your files that play back and forth continuously.

Hello there
The method to remove these so-called ‘ghost folders’ from your system after securing your emails and stuff.
Is a solution to this as follows. Right clicking on your account and choosing the next is subscribe . If it is possible to choose the folders you are missing put a check mark next to them. Your folders will then be back just like you sent us in your message.
try to create a backup on disk with this folder content of yours.
These ghost folders are not yet gone or removed.
try going to advanced account settings. The option therein is to leave the check mark before or after the box show only subscribed folders. You click OK.
Let your Thunderbird program close and restart.
The ‘ghost folders ‘ has to be gone now.

Hello there
If you can't recognize this solution in this scenario.
Could the problem also lie with your .msf files?
Please try to check whether they also function properly.
for example to check whether they are all present including the extension or whether it is present.
If there is a folder in your files and the .msf extension is missing then it is already not ready to open certain folders they may appear blank.
There are more ways to solve this issue. Contact back after with a new message.
