Hi all, I installed Thunderbird today as an alternative to Outlook.

Setting up my IMAP account was very easy and I like the layout of the app. My only issue is that Thunderbird only downloaded my recent emails (about 30 of them) instead of the 500+ I have on my server. I’ve tried the popular solution from Synchronisation & Storage and it didn’t work. In fact, the steps of the solution were already in the default settings. (Check “Keep messages in all folders...” and check “Synchronise all messages locally regardless of age”).

Any more ideas? Thank you!

and the mail server is provider by? For instance Google enables downloads for the day you enable the setting, not historically unless you make settings changes on their web site.

Mail server is GoDaddy. I used the following: imap.secureserver.net - 993 smtpout.secureserver.net - 587

It seems Thunderbird download the last three months. Is there a way to download everything?

I thins instance I would suggest you ask godaddy, they are the ones you are paying for the service. But I would imagine there is an option to do so on their web console.
