I would like Firefox to work like Chrome did in the regard of new windows being one blank tab instead of all of my home pages.

How do I set up Firefox to work like this: First window that is opened is a set of home pages. Any new window (ctrl+N - window, not tab) that is opened when Firefox is already open opens as a blank page.

This is achievable completely natively through Chrome's options. I'm not sure why I wouldn't have the same choice in Firefox, but it is frustrating because one of my home pages is a page that will log me out of any other instances of it.

Thanks in advance!

Firefox always opens the homepage(s) when you open a new window. You can set the homepage to about:blank to get a blank page when you open a new window. That is the only way apart from opening a bookmark (about:blank) in a new window by holding down the left mouse button and left-clicking this bookmark. You can use a bookmark on the Bookmarks Toolbar to open this specific page if you need to or add the URL to the target line in the desktop shortcut to open this page when you start Firefox. You can also consider to pin this page and have it always available.

Why is this so easy to do in Chrome, but not in Firefox?

Is there maybe an add-on to manage this? I basically just want CTRL+N to open a blank page in a new window when I have Firefox selected. Seems like this should be super reasonable.
