Hi, if this is a new install and you have your bookmarks and stuff saved then :uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Delete your Profile :

To make sure we are talking about the same buttons, there are two different icons starting in Firefox 57:

= Library Provides access to Bookmarks, History, Downloads; displayed by default.

= Bookmarks Menu Traditional Bookmarks Menu button; optional.

To add that second button, either:

(A) Use the Customize panel (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars) to drag the icon to the desired spot on the toolbar

(B) Use the method from Bookmarks in Firefox - section entitled: How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?

• Click the "Library" button
• Click "Bookmarks"
• Click "Bookmarking Tools"
• Click "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"

Oh sorry, on the classic menu bar -- meaning File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help?

If your bookmarks on the classic Bookmarks menu are not on the main level, i.e., they are in one of the fly-out submenus, you may need to "reorganize" your bookmarks.

You can call up the Library window using either:

• Show All Bookmarks
• Ctrl+Shift+b

Let's assume as an example that all your bookmarks are under "Other Bookmarks" and need to be under "Bookmarks Menu". Here are two methods to do a bulk move:

Drag and Drop

• In the left column, click Other Bookmarks
• Single-click a bookmark on the right side to select it, then press Ctrl+a to select all
• Click and drag everything to Bookmarks Menu in the left column, then release
• In the left column, click Bookmarks Menu to confirm the results

Cut and Paste

• In the left column, click Other Bookmarks
• Single-click a bookmark on the right side to select it, then press Ctrl+a to select all
• Right-click a selected bookmark > Cut
• In the left column, click Bookmarks Menu
• Right-click in a blank area on the right side > Paste

If disaster occurs: use Undo from the Organize menu (or Ctrl+z).

I managed to solve this problem. Apparently the default bookmark folder add-on will solve this problem. I tried it this afternoon, and it appears to work just fine. Apparently updates to FF didn't change the folder, but a new download of FF will.

If you google default bookmark folder firefox, it will be the first item. Hope this helps
