Why doesn't YouTube remember my Dark Theme and autoplay settings sometimes, when I refresh the tab or open a new one?

An issue has recently started on Mozilla Firefox (58.0.2, 64-bit) where, sometimes, refreshing the page or opening a new tab will cause the tab to revert to the normal (not Dark Theme) version. This is accompanied by the re-enabling of the Autoplay feature. I have to enable the theme and disable autoplay again, every time, and after a while (sometimes within the same hour) the next YouTube tab will have forgotten the settings again.

I have tried disabling all extensions and clearing YouTube cookies. Disabling extensions did nothing, while clearing cookies briefly seemed to fix the issue (or maybe it was just a coincidence), but the issue returned. What's going on?

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

I noticed you have a YouTube add-on. Could this be causing problems?

Sorry for the long delay and thank you for the replies! It very well might be my "Magic Actions for YouTube" extension, however, if it is, I'll just have to live with it or find a similar alternative. YouTube itself lacks too many features I expect in my video players, most crucially the ability to scroll to adjust volume.

I will test your theories soon and give you feedback on them. Thanks again.
