Direct URL image in a tab never loads

When I open a direct linked image in a tab - the tab stays blank. Images on websites load, but not when it's a single one as a direct URL. How to fix this? It just happened suddenly and now nothing can fix it, it happens every time.

Does the image show if you refresh the page (F5 or Ctrl + F5)?

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
