McAfee extension ignores one of my two email accounts

I have an AOL account and a gmail account. McAfee anti-spam extension 2.0 used to screen incoming mail on both accounts, but after McAfee's latest update, Thunderbird began to freeze (script not responding) every time, unless I disabled the McAfee extension. I reinstalled both Thunderbird and the entire McAfee program, and the freezing stopped. However, since the reinstall, the antispam extension seems to be ignoring the gmail account. When I right-click on a message, there should be a McAfee item on the context menu, allowing me to mark the message spam or not spam, and to add the sender to the Friends List. This item is present for messages in the AOL account folders, but not for messages in the gmail account folders. How do I get the McAfee anti-spam extension to recognize the gmail account?

Thanks for replying so quickly, but I saw that post earlier. I followed those instructions that were possible, but the instructions for disabling scanning of TB files and folders use menus that I don't have, and the menus I do have don't seem to let me exclude entire folders. In any case, simply disabling the extension eliminated the freeze problem short-term, and re-installing McAfee from scratch allowed me to enable the extension without freezing.

In any case, I'm not asking about the freezing problem -- that was already solved. I'm asking about how to get the extension to recognize two different email accounts.
