BBC Radio iPlayerwill not work with latest version of Firefox.
I have updated all necessary software (Flashplayer, etc.) and am forced to use Internet Explorer to listen to BBC Radio. Earlier versions of Firefox do not have this problem. I am not a computer programer, just a user. I have used Firefox for years and been able to listened to BBC Radio for years. I've read all the advice on various Firefox fora and not found anything useful in solving this problem. It seems to be a problem intrinsic to the latest version of Firefox itself. Will this problem be fixed in the near future? It seems to have been going on for the better part of a year in both the US and UK. If not, why not?
My expertise is in chemistry, not computers. I need a browser that works. I'd like that browser to be Firefox, but I don't have any more time to spend on trying to fix this problem. Using two different browsers is not working for me. Please fix this.

Before I suggest you to revert back to Firefox 28.
Try this
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
- Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
- After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
- Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
More information about reinstalling Firefox can be found here.
WARNING: Do not run Firefox's uninstaller or use a third party remover as part of this process, because that could permanently delete your Firefox data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. These cannot be recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device!
Please report back to see if this helped you!
Thank you.

Please do not try reverting to insecure unsupported versions of Firefox.
Also please note I am able to use BBC Radio Iplayer on Firefox 29 to 32 without problems. The problem is probably not because the Firefox version changed.
Often all you need to do is clear cache and cookies
- Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can_firefox-cannot-load-certain-websites
In fact keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F5 is worth a try as it reloads the cache. - Clear cookies and site data in Firefox_delete-cookies-for-a-single-site
What country are you in at the moment UK or US ? and are you using a British Internet Service Provider (ISP) or an International or USA one ? (Have you just returned form somewhere outside the UK where you used the computer ? )
- Can you play the live station feeds ?
- for instance http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/bbc_radio_four
(What does your location bar show ? That may redirect. ) - If you have a problem what happens and any error messages ?
- for instance http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/bbc_radio_four
- Can you access the news sections of the bbc ?
And what about audio & video clips from that ?- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/ -> http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27575004
There will be some audio clips but looking at the moment nearly everything is video, try to find and try at least one of each.
