when searching on google script is showing overwritten
New mac computer downloaded firefox. In the search pages of google all the script is showing on top of each other so the lines are bleeding into one another - difficult to read. Works fine on Safari so must be a firefox problem. It only happens on sponsored searches at the top of the page and the right had side.
What is the solution ??

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
Thank you.

Thank you. I have tried this and with all add-ons disabled made no difference to the appearance. The funny thing is though that it is only showing overlay of words on the sponsored searches in google. The organic searches are absolutely fine.
Strange !
Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.
- Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.
- Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
- Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but to use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.
You can do a check for corrupted and duplicate fonts and other font issues:

See my reply to cor-el below.
Hi Cor-el - PERFECT. I did change the font size to a massive size I have now got it to 12 and it works perfectly.
Thank you so much. It was a mystery. I was prepared to live with it but it is so much better to have it working properly.

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

- NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/
