Firefox on my android is a pig!
Not only is it 20 megabytes but I've downloaded 18 versions of it now.
Still so slow I can't stand it. I've looked through your helpful hints on how to speed up and none apply. It's not on my sd card, I have no other apps that are running that I can control. Delete apps, what the hell does that mean? I have no wifi available - and why should I need it anyway? Every other app I have loads fast in WiFi or 3g!
Why would Firefox startup time be determined by wifi or 3g? It's a pig because it has to load 6 different web sites on the startup screen! Get rid of it! I just want a Google search screen as a startup page. Why can't I get rid of your startup page? I delete it and it shows up again.
Firefox for desktop is number 1 amongst world class browsers. The Android app just sucks!
Also this comment box impossible to edit on my android phone using Firefox.

There is a few things that can be done first of all to clear some of your points.
Firstly Firefox doesn't load up 6 pages at once it loads up one that has screenshots of your top loaded site.
Second it is suggested to remove unused apps that may run in the background or take up lots of space, as some Android devices don't run too well with full storage. Some apps such as Facebook, or others similar to it run continuously to try and sync data and notifications. Deleting some unused ones, check ones that are running and you aren't using.
Lastly you could also try running Firefox Beta, which is more advanced than the current release and may have bug fixes and optimizations which may not be present in the release version of Firefox for Android. That can be found here - Firefox Beta

There are no ApS running. I am only using 10 percent of my storage.
It may not be loading 6 web sites but it is loading 6 screenshots and slow as hell!
You didn't answer any of my questions. And you ignored the most important part.
I have installed several beta versions over the last year. Each of them had minor bug fixes and new features. Most of them were unstable and all of them were slow.
This editor really does work well on my phone.
Editing should be fixed in Firefox 19. There are a number of keyboard related fixes included in that release.
What phone do you have?
When you say Firefox is slow to startup it sounds like you say it is faster to start under WIFI or 3g. Would you clarify which one is slower?
The address bar provides access to Google searching.
As for the size Firefox is a comparable size to the Chrome app.
