With some incoming meeting invitations (some Teams, for example) TBird asks me to enable a calendar to process. With others (.ics for example) VueMinder comes up automagically and asks me to accept the entry.

Where and how do I enable VueMinder Pro as T'Bird's default calendar app?

Default calendar isn't defined in TB. Invitations are accepted into whichever calendar is currently selected in the left pane of the Calendar tab.

Thanks, but AFAI can see that only allows choosing between calendars within T'Bird's built-in calendar.

I think what's required is to add an entry to the table that assigns an app to an attachment extension. Located that table once, and saw that the .ics extension was assigned to VueMinder. But could not figure out how to add a new entry.

The table is probably Preferences/General/Files & Attachments, which assigns actions to various attachment types. When an attachment is first opened, the action to save the file or open it with a selected app is set, and if the box 'Do this automatically...' is checked, the setting is stored in Files & Attachments.

The fol TBird bug report appears to address this specific issue:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1666296

However, I didn't find the solution.
