Firefox Quantum can't find/see internal hard drive
I recently installed Ubuntu 18.04, and updated Firefox to the new Quantum version. The 'old' Firefox had no issues when going to save docs or pics to an internal mounted hard drive, but the new and improved Firefox can't even find/see or navigate to the internal storage drive. I also installed Google Chrome and it can get to the internal storage drive, and a re-install of the older version of Firefox can save to the internal storage drive... only Firefox Quantum is 'blind' to that internal drive AND any external drives I attach to my desktop!
These are the mount options set for the internal drive:
Mount at system startup is checked
Show in use interface is checked
Require additional authorization yada yada yada is NOT checked
NO Display Name
NO Icon Name
NO Symbolic Icon Name
unamed field has these properties: nosuid,nodev,nofail,x-gvfs-show
Mount Point = /mnt/Storage_Disc_01
Identify As = /dev/disk/by-label/Storage_Disc_01
Fiesystem Type = auto

What is the file system used for this drive in case it makes a difference?
Can you browse to this directory via "File -> Open File"?
I tested with an external drive mounted under "/run/media/" and didn't have a problem to open files on it (this location needs root permission for writing).
Note that this could be a sandbox issue where only limited access is possible.
You can check for sandbox security issues.
You can set this pref to 2 or 1 on the about:config page to reduce the sandbox security level.
- security.sandbox.content.level = 1
- close and restart Firefox to make the change effective.
If '1' still doesn't have effect then try '0' to disable the sandbox.
If this didn't work then undo/reverse the change and reset the pref via the right-click context menu to the default value.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
