Since the latest upgrade Firefox is unusable slow
Since updating to version57.0 64 bit Firefox has become unusable with 30 sec wait times for actions to happen after a mouse click. I am using Windows 10 Home Ver 1709 OS Build 16299.64. I have carried out all the Troubleshooting suggestions including reinstalling twice with no change. Microsoft Edge works perfectly as do all the other elements of the PC. Typing this is taking ages as the software cannot keep up and I have to wait 30 sec for the words to appear. After many satisfied years of using Firefox I am close to dumping it. hi, thanks for reporting this. could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there.
if yes, can you please copy & paste this whole section into a reply in the forum and see if the following fixes the performance problem: go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.

As requested ed true Prevent Accessibility 0 Accessible Handler Used true Accessibility Instantiator UIAUTOMATION|
Having altered the Privacy Security Panel the problems seems to have been solved. What has this done to me accessing other services? Well done on the solution
the article at What is the Accessibility Service Indicator? contains some background on this - basically third-party programs can hook into firefox (& apparently also cause bad performance) that way. from other affected users we have heard that realplayer is one of the programs causing the issue.
Does this affect the way this Add On works generally or should I notice no difference?
all extensions will continue to work fine. hopefully the only difference you'll notice is more speed :))
Brilliant!! You're a genius. Thanks Again
