I have run across issues that creep up. The timeout setting of dom.max_chrome_script_run_time seems to be 20 seconds in FF 25.0.1 and 10 seconds in FF 30 I was wondering if you have release notes for all versions from [25, 30] so that I can know all of the different timeout values?

Thanks, -Charlie

The values of these prefs haven't changed in a long time if they ever changed.

Note that there are two of them, so do not get confued.

  • dom.max_chrome_script_run_time = 20
  • dom.max_script_run_time = 10

I am running Firefox v29 Win 7. dom.max_chrome_script_run_time = 60

Is that value of 60 really the default value and not a user set value?

It's in bold, so not default.

No, when the property is in bold, that means you have changed it. you can right click and select reset to see what FF sets the default value to. Then you can restore it. But yeah, when the prop is bold, it has been edited by the end user.

Can you post a screenshot that shows a different default value of one of those prefs?

Note that it is possible to modify the default value via a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder.
