I keep being asked to upgrade to the latest and greatest version of Firefox...and I would love to do that...but all my login user names and passwords are stored by Norton "Identity Safe" plugin that is included with their virus software. Why can't you make an upgrade that handles their plug ins??

Here is the instruction to how backup and restore identity safe

Norton 2011 2012 360 v5 all are fully compatible with Firefox 8

I did successfully back up the identity safe file, but when I say yes to upgrading to Firefox 8, it checks out my ad-ons and I get a message, "Some of your add-ons will not work with Firefox 8: Symantec IPS 3.0 and Norton toolbar 5.6"

So I click out of the upgrade because of this warning.

Ask Norton how long will it be before they are compatible with latest Firefox

Step 1. Make sure your Norton product has the Firefox 8 compatible patch by running LiveUpdate and rebooting until there are no more patches available on LiveUpdate.

I have run LiveUpdate and it says everything is OK...no more updates needed. But I have no way of knowing if the Firefox 8 compatible patch is present. And when I try to upgrade to Firefox 8 I always get the same message that those two add-0ns are not compatible with Firefox 8....so what do I do now???
