meta refresh does not refresh drop down select options but does the check boxes... IE works without error (FF cashe issue)
Drop down list would not refresh even if the html had changed using meta refresh tag. The problem was solved by removing the list name in the html during the refresh part of my page. It is a php script so I can do this but with straight html I do not see a way to fix the issue for others finding this a problem, FF should not do this.
Example:
<select name="page_header_color">
<option >blue</option> <option >green</option> <option selected >red</option> <option >black</option> <option >silver</option> </select>
to have it refresh correctly changed to this:
<select name="">
<option >-------</option> </select>
the script changes the page to the above between refresh and the "real" html that fixes the issue, otherwise FF does not refresh the drop down lists at all, but it does refresh check boxes and everything else.

You need to reload and bypass the cache to reset choices made via selection boxes and drop down list.
Otherwise the selection are reloaded from the cache, so a meta reload won't work either (may work if you reset them via an onload event).
