Firefox crashes repeatedly. It occurred frequently under 6.0.1 and has continued with 6.0.2. My plugins are up to date. I do NOT use Comcast Constant Guard or Norton.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Had to cut it short because of the limit on the number of characters allowed. Hope what I removed wasn't critical to figuring out the problem.

I'm not sure what a good a new profile will do me because the things I want to use are in my profile. This sounds like an extremely time-consuming "solution." I have bookmarks I use daily, that's how I view my bills, access my accounts, etc. If I want to waste my time, I'll just use IE. Seems to me with the number of people experiencing problems, there is a problem which didn't exist under earlier versions. Instead of many people trying a lot of different things in an attempt to "fix" the problem, I think it would make more sense to actually fix the issue with an update so everyone experiencing the problem can have it fixed.

What specifically in my profile do you think is the problem? Let's narrow it down a bit.

I especially like how all the instructions say I must close Firefox. When I close Firefox, the instructions I am reading by using Firefox are also closed.
