The File/edit/view/history/tools/help bar and the Back/refresh/and home buttons that used to be on the top left of the screen are no longer there. I want them back
I don't know what I did, maybe download a more recent version of firefox, but I no longer have any of the file/edit/view/history/bookmarks/tools/help bar on upper left hand of the screen.
I also lost the BACK button the refresh or undo button and the home button.
where did they go and how do I get them back?
Thanks

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

I almost gave up and started using IE as my default browser. I am sure that I, being a neophyte computer user will need your services again in the future. If you don't mind send your email address to me at [email protected]. I would be very thankful to have you as a reference for future ??????'s

This was helpful, but I still can't retrieve the "refresh" and "home" tabs. Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks, framelady
Aha! I found the "refresh" button at the end of the place where I enter the URL. don't know where "home" is yet, but my home page has mysteriously appeared in the tool bar above the URL.
The "Home" button was moved to the right-side of the Navigation Toolbar.
The "Reload" and "Stop" button are on right-side of the Location bar, combined into the same space as the "Go" button; whichever button is appropriate at any time is what is displayed. The "Go"button when you are typing in the Location bar, the "Stop" button when a page is loading, and the "Reload" button when a page is fully loaded.
If you want any or all of those buttons in their former location, as they were in Firefox 3.6, you can Customize your Toolbars and put them where you want them.

Thanks so much for the assist.
I'm the 116th person with this problem, and your advice was spot on.
It's good to know that the mozilla/firefox support resources are exceptional!

None of my reload, back, home page, or URL buttons are coming up.
Don't ask me why this worked................ but when I pressed the max/min button at the top right of the screen my toolbars came back............
