How Can I Roll Back from 125 to 115?

I updated to 125 in order to install a new version of an add-on that has been made compatible. But two other add-ons are now incompatible.

How do I roll back to 115? I have a backup of my hard drive with 115 installed and working. Is it enough to copy the old Thunderbird folder and the /Program Files/Mozilla Thunderbird folder?

Chosen solution

I restored the Thunderbird data directory from this morning's backup and tried to run TB. It said the data didn't match the program's version.

So I restored both /Program Files/Mozilla Thunderbird and the Thunderbird data directory. That worked. I am now back on 115.10.1.

(I should have said 128, not 125.)

In short you can not and have a supported version of Thunderbird using the same profile.

Your profile is modified in the update and going back will loose data, although I can't say what.

Congratulations. But restoring a previous backup is not rolling back, it is restoring a backup.

You have what you wanted, but not through any sort of supported process.
