The list of e-mail letters in Thunderbird does not follow a date pattern. The e-mails are not listed in any order I can make out. Please can you tell me how to set it up so that the most recent e-mail I receive are at the top of the listings? thank you.

First, look at View>sort by>unthreaded Next, look at the small menu bar above message list. That shows subject, from, date, etc. Click 'date' and it sorts one way, click again and it sorts the opposite way. Click it to get to the order you prefer.
