I was having trouble with Thunderbird so I reinstalled it. The problem did not go away so I uninstalled it first and and then reinstalled it to make sure I got an complete new version. The new version did not recognize my existing email filesand made me sign in as if I were a totally new user. I did this for one email address - [email protected]. Result: a) it did not recover my email and b) new email to that address is not received (but is on my ipad). The current Mozilla version is 68.2.2 (32 bit). Can you help

Launch TB and open Help/Troubleshooting Information, click about:profiles. Do you see other profiles besides the one that is in use? If you see your old data after launching another profile in a new browser, then set that profile as the Default.
