When printing using mozilla/firefox software, there are many errors; boxes of small number/letters where words should be. I thought it was a printer problem at first, but when through steps with Epson to validate the printer is functioning fine. Epson told me it was a Firefox software issue. Is there a fix for this?

Are you printing a regular web page or a PDF?

For PDFs, it is best to open them in an external viewer, such as Adobe Acrobat/Reader, for printing. You can use the download button on the viewer's black toolbar for that:
