I don't know why, but at least once a week Thundebird keeps asking for password every time that I'm going to send an email, it informs that password it is incorrect and then does not allow me to send. It keeps showing me the same message. I've already checked all smtp/imap settings, downloaded that plugin which does not work at all, and, well this is making me crazy.

try turning off your anti virus email scanning component. It will be sitting between Thunderbird and the SMTP server. It may even be masquerading as th SMTP server,
