I have set the default directory for saving attachements in options-attachements (always save files to ) to c:\download but whenever I save attachements I still get a pop up directory window asking me to selct the directory. This can get tedious when I have multiple emails all with attachements. I have tried resetting the option to "always ask", restarting tbird and then changing back to "always save files to" and the behavior does not change. Any clues on how I can make this work properly. I have just updated to version 60.3.00 but this was happening in all previous versions s well.

thanks Nick

My understanding of that setting is it sets the location to be displayed in the save as dialog, not makes a save here no prompt workflow, If the location is correct, hitting enter is the only additions process required to save.
