Thunderbird was working fine on Laptop #1 with subdirectories in the Inbox... used Thunderbird Tools to separate the incoming emails into subs.

This was also duplicated on the Godaddy Server and everything was sinked.

Also have Laptop #2 that is using Thunderbird and everything was sinking with the Godaddy Server, Thunderbird #1 and Thunderbird #2.

3 Days ago, the Subdirectories on Laptop #1 ...disappeared.

Everything on the Godaddy Server is still fine.

I reloaded the #1 Thunderbird software and got it up and running but it would only sink the Main inbox but not any subdirectories or the Sent Directory.

Before Yesterday... #2 Laptop and Thunderbird had everything with Inbox, Subdirectories and Sent files on it and sinked with Server.

Yesterday, # 2 laptop lost all of the subdirectory files and the Sent directory. I have re-installed Thunderbird on #2 Laptop and the Inbox and Sent Directories have now sinked back up with the Godaddy Server...but none of the subdirectories to the Inbox have sinked up with either #1 or #2 computers.

Again. everything has been running fine for 9 months with the Godaddy Server and #1 and #2. and Laptops #1 and #2 are now acting the same but will not sink up the subdirectories from the Server.

If I try to add the same subdirectory name to #1 computer, the subdirectory will add...but that subdirectory will not add or update with the Server's subdirectory.

  1. 2 laptop will not allow me to add any subdirectories to Thunderbird.

Chosen solution

Tell godaddy their support is not all they think it is.

It would appear that Microsoft released a bad update to their office365 / outlook.com servers which broke IMAP folders. Microsoft are working on the issue and promise to remediate the situation. For a workaround, please see my blog post. Unfortunately other an that there is nothing more we can offer until Microsoft fix their servers,

We are tracking this issue in Bug 1241926.

Thank you very much for the answer.

That is a very respectful response and more that timely and adequate.

You are right...both Microsoft and Godaddy got caught with egg on their faces.
