We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

If I understand your question and reply, the main problems right now are:

  • Slow loading of pages
  • Videos not playing

On the first point, could you try this article: Quick fixes if your Firefox slows down.

On the second point, do you know whether the problem occurs on pages using a plugin to play video, or on pages that are using the built-in HTML5 player? Usually you can tell if you right-click the video player area and check the menu for a brand name (for example, Flash, QuickTime, etc.). If there's no indication of a plugin brand name, then most likely it is the built-in player.

Could you look up and let us know the name of your second video plugin? The description in your More System Details says "The Videos 3.10.1 plugin handles video and audio streams." but I'm not sure what that is. You can view this on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins. Then it should be listed on the right side.

Or you can copy/paste from my test page here: https://jeffersonscher.com/res/jstest.php (scroll down to the plugins list)

Hmm, that funny description appears for QuickTime, VLC, and Windows Media Player. This may be something specific to your distribution; as a Windows user, I'm not familiar with it myself.
