Unresponsive script errors; the scripts start with "chrome://" so what do they have to do with Firefox?
I get a few different unresponsive script errors, all starting with "chrome://" even though I uninstalled the Google Chrome browser. What do these scripts have to do with Firefox? (I have no add-ons enabled except Flash Player and Ghostery.)
One example is the script chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml:222
I also got a "chrome" script error when clearing my Firefox cache.
Has Google Chrome left unwanted modifications to Firefox and my system?

Firefox uses the "chrome://" protocol to access its own internal files and also access files from extensions, so that has nothing to do with Google Chrome.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
