Flash player not working on one site
Hi,I have the latest version of adobe flash player and it works on all sites apart from one site which I like to use all the time. The site is williamhill bingo....on this site flash works on every other game but when I try to play bingo Flash player starts to load but I then get a white screen with the message an error occured. I contacted William hill and they said that there are no problems on their end so it is something to do with my pc. I tried uninstalling firefox and re installing aswell as doing the same with flash but still can't seem to fix it. I have absolutely no idea as to why this is happening, Any help appreciated.

Hi,still no joy,I even reverted to an older version of flash but am having the same problem. I am going to try installing google chrome and if I can get used to it I will probably just go with that. Thanks very much though for trying to help,it's greatly appreciated.

Hello Allycuk, Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now" "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies" This may help you. Thanks, Dyvik.
Hi thanks for helping.Unfortunately I am still getting the same problem...I really don't understand it as flash is working in every other site aswell as every other flash game on william hill. It's only the bingo that flash is not working in. I even got into williamhill bingo using internet explorer but it's a pain having to use explorer when I am used to using firefox.
Hi Allycuk, games may use different features of the Flash plugin than videos, so perhaps that explains the different result on that site.
Here are some standard approaches to resolving problems with Flash . I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
(1) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
- In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
- In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
(2) Disable the protected mode feature. The following pages provide different ways to disable the feature:
- Adobe support article under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
- Batch file to automate the manual steps: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/982093#answer-518078
Any luck?
Also, could you check the left end of the address bar to see whether any extra notification icons appear for that game? For pages using Flash, you will usually see the "Lego"-like icon. You can click that to confirm Flash is allowed to run on the page. Is there anything else?
