Changing OS Xp Professional to Windows 7 best way to proceed with firefox
I have a laptop OS windows 7 and firefox 23.0.1 in portuguese european and a desktop xp professional and firefox 23.0.1 in english-USA. I'm going to upgrade the OS in the destop, xp to windows 7. The question is what will be the better approach to deal with firefox (I will change the language to portuguese european). At first I thought to backup the firefox profile folder, however I´m not sure because the OS will change and language too). Another way would be to make a totaly fresh install (backingup the bookmarks in HTML file in the laptop) and then after install import that file to the desktop). This way seems to me more safe (more work), but I'm not sure if that will be the best way to proceed. Any help, sugestions or comments would be very welcome. My best regards.

hello JoaoNT, in any case i'd suggest to backup the whole profile folder. it should be possible to restore it on the new operating system without any issues. in case you had problems though you could then just restore certain elements from your backup: Recover important data from an old profile

Hello philipp, many thanks for your quick and helpful advice. I will follow it backingup the actual firefox profile folder and after, restoring it with the new operating system. In fact this saves information and saves a lot of time. Once more again thanks and please accept my best regards.
