Good day,

I currently use the drop-down style of bookmarks on my browser - here's a picture:

What I would like to do is have that drop-down button without the text. If I go to customize, and substitute the text-less bookmarks star, it's not a drop-down, it's a space-hogging, webpage scrunching thing.

Can anyone tell me how to make this bookmarks drop-down button just an icon?

Thanks in advance...

Add code to the userChrome.css file below the default @namespace line.

The customization files userChrome.css (interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

#bookmarks-menu-button .toolbarbutton-text { display:none!important; }

This can be done by putting bookmarks into folders and having the folder appear on the toolbar. See Use bookmark folders to organize your bookmarks for more!

Cheers! I had a fresh OS install so there was no chrome file in my Firefox. Making a userChrome.css file in there - with that text - completely accomplished what I wanted. Thanks a bunch!
