My home page is MSN.COM. When the MSN home page opens, it usually scrolls through 7 different windows of news events. This doesn't start until 3 minutes of waiting. Also, if I go into Google and a website under Firefox opens, I can't access anything for 3 minutes. Once the 3 minutes are up, there are no problems.

Have you tried with an alternative browser ?

Have you tried to check your speed/bandwidth ? (do a websearch for speed testers)

What happens if you try only a blank page as the home page, and then navigate to something simple like this forum's home page (/home) which would normally be expected to open fairly quickly

If you are referring to my post about IPv6 then that applies to Mac as well.

You can set the Boolean pref network.dns.disableIPv6 to true on the about:config page to disable IPv6.
