When i type in the search bar (top right) i always have to press Enter twice. Also the manage search engines (drop down menu) feature is not working, it won't delete any search engines not required, just freezes.

I am having the same problem. I also cannot select other search engines on the drop down menu that are on my computer. Nor can I delete search engines. I have followed the instructions for deleting a search engine and when I do, it takes it off the list. But when I click OK the search bar still only uses Yahoo. I'm using Firefox version 14.0.1. Any help appreciated!
