I've lost FireFTP. It was in Tools/Web Developer but it's gone. I tried downloading it again and am told that it is installed. I've also downloaded the FireFTP button which appears as a small tab, which opens a new FireFTP tab but nothing happens!

I've been using FireFTP on this laptop for a couple of years. It disappeared once before and found it in Tools/Web Developer. This morning it had gone - I hadn't used it for a couple of weeks. I tried downloading the add-on gain and am told that it is installed but I still can't see it. I also installed the FireFTP button which appears at the left of my tabs. When I click on it a new tab opens called chrome://fireftp/content/fireftp.xul but the usual FireFTP page doesn't appear

You might want to check whether it is disabled.

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions

The extensions are listed in two groups, with the enabled ones on top, then the disabled ones below. If it is disabled, you can enable it. Or, if it says it is not compatible with Firefox 11, you could check for updates.

Any luck?
