I have and old iBook 3G that someone gave me. It's running OSX version 10.3.9 It has an air-port and I am able to connect to my wi-fi, but it has NO web browser at all. I don't know who wiped all the apps off it, but they went overboard. I want to download firefox 3.6.27 onto a flash drive using my HP which is running windows vista (if that matters), and install it onto the iBook from the flash drive. For some reason this won't work though. It's been years since I used a mac regularly so I need some help. How can I make this work?

The 3.6.27 version it is not supported for your 10.3.9 mac os, support from Mac OS X 10.4 and later

see Firefox 3.6.27 System Requirements

the latest version for your 10.3.9 mac os is 2.0.0.20 and as you understand, it is not supported any more but if you like you can download from :

ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/

see Firefox 2.0.0.20 System Requirements

Would TenFourFox work? That is for PPC Macs. There seems to be a way to use it on a G3. http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

TenFourFox is for 10.4 and 10.5

Copied from http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

Tuned for your operating system and processor. Why is this TenFourFox and not Firefox? Because even though it uses the Firefox code base, it's not Firefox. It uses code tuned for 10.4 (and compatible with 10.5), adds new PowerPC-specific improvements and restores the glue necessary to get most of modern Firefox's advanced features working on our older computers, offered in separately hand-tuned builds for G3, G4/7400, G4/7450 and G5 processors to get the most from your specific computer.
