FF 5.0 is not showing the website/URL in the browser. I of course put what I am searching for in the Bing add-on, choose the site I want to go to. Site comes up just fine but the site address/website/URL does not show up in the browser.

Thanks - so I am NOT making changes in safe mode? I am not certain what to do then. And how would I know if one of the extensions is causing the problem? I looked at safe mode information, but would I not have to make changes in safe mode?

Not techie at all.

AND - I made no changes as of yet, and now the problem is intermittent. Sometimes I have the URL/website, sometimes not. Mostly it works now.

You initially do not make any changed by ticking a box on the safe mode start window.
Just click the button to "Continue in Safe Mode".

Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode that disables all extensions and a few more settings like toolbar customization and hardware acceleration that allows to investigate issues caused by extensions.
