I was looking to DL the 4.0 version of FF as I need it for school and not much into IE. Additionally, I am looking to use the mobile version with Android assuming it works with my Optimum 6 along with my new tablet. The mobile piece is separate as I am researching that for a law enforcement and security agency. In DL and installing 4.0 on my HP laptop the "About" shows a 3.6.10 version of FF not 4.0.

make sure you download Firefox 4.0 from Mozilla www.mozilla.com and not some random download site somewhere. You also could have both Firefox 4.0 and the 3.6.10 and what ever way you started Firefox it was pointing to the 3.6.10.

As for mobile Firefox for Android, you need at least Android 2.0 (1.5/1.6 is not so common now on newer devices anyways) and the cpu has to be a ARMv7 type as ARMv6 is not supported.

Thank you. I downloaded FF 4.0 again and it installed this time. Much nicer browser look to me.

Thanks for the help.
