I just installed Firefox 4. When I enter something into my search bar on the home page.... nothing happens. I've tried hitting enter and clicking on the search button. I have also waited and waited. Nothing.

I have to manually enter a new site in the address bar or go to a bookmark to search for anything.

I have tried reinstalling to the same effect.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?
A troubleshooting mode.
1.You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
2. Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut to open it again.

Thank you! That worked :)

I reset all preferences in safe mode and now it works perfectly.
