Links in gmail go to bad address
This started happening after I upgraded to 3.6.15 this week. I happens in Firefox but not in Google Chrome.
When I click on a link in gmail it goes to https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&view=bsp&ver=ohhl4rw8mbn4 A blank screen and the status says "done." This happens with old emails that worked before my upgrade. If I right-click and select "Open link in new window" it goes to the correct page.

Hiya saraphen!
I just switched my mail to 'basic HTML' view instead of 'standard' view and the clicking of the links works that way... You made me think to try that when you mentioned switching to Google Chrome, so thank you!
Guess that's the way I'll leave it until another update is posted since no one seems interested in addressing this problem further...
Thanks again! 8-)

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
- "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
- "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
I cleared cache and removed all the google and gmail cookies.
I still have the problem. This started after I upgraded to Firefox 3.6.15
I am having the same problem with my gmail - links in Yahoo mail work fine. If I right-click and choose 'open in a new window' the link works, but simply clicking on the link in the gmail takes me to the address: http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&view=bsp&ver=ohhl4rw8mbn4
In addition to clearing my cache and cookies, I also changed my Tools>Options settings to add an exception for pop-ups for http://mail.google.com. Just to be doubly sure, I also changed my installed plug-in "Adblock Plus" to allow pop-ups for http://mail.google.com. This did not correct the problem either.
In case you need to know, I'm using Windows XP Pro Version 2002, Service Pack 3, v.3264. I can still get to my links with the right-click menu, but learning a new habit can be quite annoying at first, and this problem only occurred this morning after installing the update to 3.6.16.
Well at least I'm not the only one. Maybe now they will fix it.
I was just coming back to see if any tech-support types had replied...
~knock knock knock~ Hello?!? Any tech support home?!?
I'm getting so annoyed with forgetting to right-click and open-in-a-new-window that I'm thinking of looking up how to roll back to the previous version of Firefox...
I'm using Google Chrome more and more.

Hi joyfulgirl,
How do I switch to basic HTML?
I found it...SHEESH!! It works!! Thankyou!
Sorry I missed you and glad you found it! 8-D
p.s. Just in cases you missed it, don't forget to click the 'set basic HTML as default' link above your messages or it will keep reverting back to standard view...

The links from gmail are working now. That bogus link shows first and then there appears to be a quick redirect to the correct address.
I didn't change a thing.
I have solved this problem by adding Mozzilla Firefox to Exceptions in the firewall. Go to control panel and select Security. Then select Firewall. You will then see an option at the top for exceptions. When you click on that it will take you to a window that has "add programs" listed. Click on Add. This will take another window. Just scroll down and select Mazzilla Firefox and click on same. It will then be highlighted. Next go to the bottom right and hit OK. No need to restart. As soon as I completed this I have had no problems reaching any and all links in gmail. I hope this will cure everyone's problem.
