Solved for me. I set the owner/permissions of my profile's mozilla folder's (and all the files in it) to read/write access, and the problem disappeared.

in linux:

  • cd /home/myusername/.mozilla
  • chown -cR myusername:mygroup ./
  • chmod -cR +rw ./

Never do that with root privs (nor with sudo)
